What I’m thankful for

Thankfulness-featured-wide

Sometimes in life, we need to remember things we’re thankful for. We need to remember things that are good in our lives when we feel stressed or down. It’s good things that keep us going throughout the bad times.

One thing that I am particularly thankful for is the area that I live in. I don’t live in an area that is so isolated and rural that I have no one around me to hang out with but I don’t live in a big city where there is no privacy. I feel that the area I live in is the perfect middle. It’s a big enough place that there are both people you know and people who you don’t. It is a big enough place that there are places to go when you are hanging out with friends. But, it is also a small enough place that there is some privacy.

I quite like this in-between type area. I tend to get stressed out quite a bit and I quite often find that going out walking helps me. Also, living by the seaside means that when I get stressed or upset, I can go for a short walk and just stay at the beach for a while. I can also hang out with my friends as there are things to do and I also stand a high chance of bumping into someone I haven’t spoken to for a while.

As much as I love cities, it’s great for a day out but I don’t think I could ever live there. I wouldn’t feel like I had much privacy and too much to do. However, I also wouldn’t want to live in a completely rural area as I would feel like I had too much privacy and not enough to do. I know everyone has their different views on where is best to live but this is mine.

So when I feel down and upset or even stressed, I just think about how lucky I am to be where I am. In this amazing area. I hope that one day I can have kids and bring them up in the same sort of area. A community with some privacy.

Lots of love,

P.S. I hope to write a series of things that I am thankful for so keep an eye out.
